Adirondack lodging offering year round hospitality in the Adirondack tradition:
welcoming, comfortable and catering to the need for restoring the soul
and regaining the balance of life...to breathe the balsamic air and smell
the woods, to paddle and swim the waters, to glide or clomp across the
snow, to loaf, read and sleep, to walk, hike, and explore. And, of course,
to dine at your leisure.

Wawbeek Bay by Simon Parkes

This turn of the century Great Camp couldn't be more picturesque or ideal
for your Adirondack vacation. Located on the shores of Upper Saranac
Lake
in the Adirondack Park just minutes from Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.
Our rustic cabins and Adirondack lodgings are spread out amongst a
forty
acre property with commanding views of the shoreline as it meets the
base of the Adirondack High Peaks.

From the doorstep of your Adirondack cabin, hike, cross-country ski or
snowshoe from your doorstep. We've plenty of snowshoes, traditional and
new! Trails lead you through the property and up the road a bit to the
seven mile Deer Pond Loop.
The interior of the Wawbeek's Adirondack lodging and rustic cabins are
just as unique as the outdoors. Abundant fireplaces and cozy nooks make
it the perfect place to curl up with your favorite book. If you're in
a gaming mood, checker boards and playing cards await in each Great Room.

Renowned in the North Country for its setting and cuisine, The Wawbeek
Restaurant sits on a rock promontory overlooking Upper Saranac Lake and
the high peaks. The mood is set for an elegant dinner but, in fact, the
ambiance suggests Adirondack informality.

Just half an hour away you will find the hustle and bustle of Lake
Placid. The Olympic Village's Main Street is lined with shops, Adirondack
goods,
and plenty of night life. In and around the mountain town are the Olympic
Venues. Whether you're interested in watching or riding - you won't
run
out of things to do with bobsled and toboggan rides, Olympic tours, and
ice skating - to name a few.

During your Adirondack vacation, we highly recommend limiting business
and personal communications to the most essential as restoration of
the
soul is a promise at The Wawbeek. In keeping with that promise, Wawbeek
Adirondack lodgings and rustic cabins offer pet friendly lodging.
There
are no telephones, TV’s or air conditioning. All messages are carefully
received and delivered promptly. A public telephone is in the Lodge
Reception
area, and we receive and deliver faxes and emails. Wireless internet connection is also available. For small conferences,
it is our pleasure to make all our electronic services available.
